Like a ship coming in from the sea, most Phan Thiet tourists come there to rest and unwind. A quiet city in the heart of Binh Thuan province, its direct access to the sea has long made Phan Thiet an important seaport in Vietnam's history. Fishing boats in bright blues and reds proudly decorate its harbor, proof that the fishing tradition continues to thrive.

Its location between Vietnam's two great cities – Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City – makes Phan Thiet a stepping stone for adventurous souls who wish to go deep into the heart of Vietnam. More than its geographical accessibility, however, what lures travelers into Phan Thiet are its beaches.

More famous perhaps is Cape Mui Ne with its fine sand that stretches into an artistic arc of natural wonder. It is undeniably a sight to behold. But what is possibly one of Phan Thiet's little known secrets is the neighboring Ka Ge Bay, a secluded beach that offers wanderers the promise of blissful days under the warm Vietnam sun.
