Makati seen as LA in new Indian movie

Who knew that Makati City could stand in for Los Angeles, California?

Five months ago, Indian producer Sivaprasada Reddy “randomly Googled” world capitals and chanced upon a photo of the Makati skyline, “a perfect match for Los Angeles.”

Even the smog reminded Reddy of Hollywood, where he studied film at the University of California in LA.

He came to visit and found that Greenbelt malls could also pass for those in LA. He noted, “There’s always at least one Indian movie shooting in or near Bangkok every day. We did some fight scenes there, too, but most of the film was done here.”
