Bali Travel Guide

Indonesia is a very popular destination amongst Australian holiday makers, especially young people looking for a cheap and accessible holiday with their friends.

Bali in particular has been become extremely popular, thanks to the constant promotional efforts from social media accounts and influencers.

The very mention of Bali conjures up thoughts of sprawling golden beaches, sacred jungles and amazing temples and architecture.

Bali is a beautiful place that is well worth a visit, and even if you are from further afield like the Americas or Europe, you can still get reasonably priced flights.

Since the cost of living in Bali is very low, once you get out there it is extremely affordable in terms of accommodation, travel and eating out.

I have been to Bali several times, both with friends and as a solo traveller, and I can say without hesitation that it is very safe, especially for females who might be travelling themselves.

Bali is one of several islands that surround mainland Indonesia, and is mostly dense jungle and fields surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches.

Its main city is Denpasar, which is very busy and noisy compared to the rest of the tranquil island.

There are great spots to stay in the jungles of Bali, like the famous Ubud, which has many beautiful temples and great tourist sites.

If you are more of a fan of the beach lifestyle, there are many amazing little communities up and down the coast, like Canguu and Seminyak.

Here you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and things to do, like surfing, sports and activities.

If you are looking to relax, then there are some quieter beaches where you can sit back and work on your tan in perfect paradise.

Bali can be busy during the high season, and traffic is notoriously dangerous, so be careful when you are on the roads.
